- The watermark remover is in preview mode — the detection and inpainting pipeline is designed and the upload flow is live. Full automated processing launches when the frame-level video inpainting endpoint is available.
- What types of watermarks can the tool remove?
- The planned detection covers static corner logos, timestamp overlays, semi-transparent branding, and repeated-frame text bugs. Animated or randomly placed watermarks require a more advanced detection pass flagged as a future update.
- Will watermark removal work if the watermark overlaps the main subject?
- Removal is most reliable when the watermark sits over a uniform background region (sky, wall, simple surface). Overlaps with the primary subject reduce inpainting accuracy because the model must reconstruct complex scene detail underneath the removed area.
- Does watermark removal affect the rest of the video?
- No — the removal only touches the identified watermark region. Adjacent frames and pixels are preserved. The inpainting fills the removed region with background-consistent pixels based on surrounding frame context.
